Masonary

Over time a large number of forces act on external masonary facades causing deterioration of what was initially a solid material. There are a large number of forces that lead to masonry deterioration from freeze thaw expansion, failure to repair pointing to plant growth.

Specific maintenance techniques are required to increase the durability of the masonry. In cases, however it is essential to replace the masonary due to prolonged exposure.

There are several methods to repair deteriorated masonary, ranging from composite patching, which is the patching of areas of deterioration with mortars of as close as characteristics to the original, to replacing shaped areas that are manufactured to exact specification for a seamless repair.
